Apply, Remove & Care

INKARTISAN offers two different types of temporary tattoos(Temporary tattoos & Semi-Permanent tattoos), each requiring different application and care instructions. Please follow the tutorials below accordingly:

How to Apply Temporary Tattoos?

Preparing the skin for application (for all types of temporary tattoos)

Start by cleaning the area where you want to apply the tattoo. Make sure the skin is clean, dry, and free from any lotions or oils. This will help the tattoo adhere better and last longer.

Applying Temporary tattoos

1. Remove the clear plastic sheet from the front of the tattoo.

2. Press the tattoo, design facing down, onto your skin. Make sure it is in the desired position.

3. Hold a wet cloth against the back of the tattoo. Press it down firmly, and make sure to wet it thoroughly. This helps the tattoo transfer to your skin.

4. Gently rinse the image with water for the best effect. Avoid scrubbing the tattoo, as it may cause it to fade or rub off.

Applying Semi-Permanent tattoos (Jagua/Genipa Plant Extract)

1. Remove the clear plastic sheet from the front of the tattoo.

2. Press the tattoo, design facing down, onto your skin. Make sure it is in the desired position.

3. Leave the tattoo on the skin for one full hour, allowing it to develop. After an hour, peel off the entire tattoo. The tattoo will continue to darken over the next 24 hours, resulting in a dark blue or black color.

4. For best results, avoid sweating or showering for 6 hours after applying the tattoo. This will ensure that the ink sets properly.

How to Remove Temporary Tattoos?

Removing Temporary tattoos

The easiest way to remove your sticker tattoo is by using regular household tape. Here's how:

Take a strip of tape and stick it over the edge of your tattoo.

Rub the tape gently and peel it away.

Alternatively, you can drench a towel with soap and water, then rub the tattoo gently until it comes off.

Removing Semi-Permanent tattoos (Jagua/Genipa Plant Extract)

To remove an ink-based temporary tattoo, lightly scrub your skin with an exfoliant, such as warm saltwater or a body scrub. Be gentle with your skin, as it may take a few tries to completely remove the ink.

How to Care for Temporary Tattoos?

Caring for Temporary tattoos

After applying the tattoo, gently rinse the image with water for the best effect.

Protect the tattoo from excessive friction, such as tight clothing or accessories that rub against it. Avoid placing the tattoo on joints, as frequent movement in those areas can cause it to fade or rub off.

Caring for Semi-Permanent tattoos (Jagua/Genipa Plant Extract)

After applying the tattoo, avoid sweating or showering for 6 hours. This will allow the ink to set properly.

Keep your tattoo moisturized to make it last longer. Staying hydrated also helps. However, avoid excessive heat, water, or friction caused by exfoliation, as it may affect the longevity of the tattoo.
